What is the best way to monetize type-in traffic?

I've got some typo domains that collectively get about 2400 visitors a month, but make less than $20 a month. :( Half of that traffic comes from one domain.

I've tried redirecting to a CPA offer, which did slightly better than it is now, but I didn't know how to track analytics with a redirect, so right now I've got a simple page set up that shows a banner for a targeted CPA offer. I'm making $8/month from this domain...

For those other domains, I am currently using a simply page that shows an Amazon widget of daily deals. That is also making me very little.

Please give me some suggestions! I've read of getting a sponsor, but I have no idea how to do that.

We'd really need to know the type of traffic you getting before giving you any sort of estimate! What are they looking for?

Why not build a mini- or micro-sites (one or few pages) of content, targeted to the domain itself or the domain that is bringing you the majority of the traffic. Then place Adsense and you are set.

    Home Page:
go to the alexa way back time machine.
look up that domain... and see what type of site it was
because the traffic you are getting is people looking for what
use to be on that site...
so lets say it was a motorcycle website or whatever...
well then place products directly related to what the
    original website use to have.

if you pick a compatible product ...you should see some conversions....

    hope that helps.

Well, they are all typos of a sites that still exist. These are trademarked domains, so I'm weary of running adsense.

The domain that brings the majority of traffic is about womens fashion deals. A few of the other big ones are news sites.

You can park the domain and you should be fine. Just don't try to mimick the design or provided service of the trademarked product (e.g don't offer anything related to women fashion). You can use the targeted audience for example (women, looking for clothes). Use this.

Another thing is that you can build a women fashion site on a new, non-trademarked domain and redirect the trademarked domains to it.
