Hi guys,

I have a high traffic football streaming/news site currently earning via adsense.

I'm looking for new ways to monetize - I don't want to use c.p.a lead as it will put off my visitors - so what affiliate programs would you recommend?

I've basically decided on betting affiliates, so can anyone with experience recommend one? I've been looking through a fair few, just want to know who's good and who's not. I'm expecting a high quantity of signups so probably looking towards lifetime revshare rather than CPA. Traffic is mainly UK and europe. I personally use betfair for myself but it only pays a year revshare and I'm greedy :p

Any help much appreciated :)

Thanks

I'm resurrecting this topic as I'm in the same boat. I don't really like football/soccer but have a fairly high traffic site. Used to make paypal sales but they've died so trying to come up with a new method. Any Soccer lovers in here? When u look for live streams what distracts u? what would u buy?

the football in here is soccer right? not american football?

why don't you try sports betting affiliate? the example would be bet365. i never tried it myself because my niche is not soccer, but it's worth to try

I used to do quite well with scores to text subscriptions
But lost interest.

How about visiting some Premier League games? I know teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, Man C, Tottenham, Chelsea etc attract enough people to basically fill a whole town (maybe between 50 and 80 thousand...), so all you got to do is make a graphic with your website url and put it on a decent tshirt and hopefully the tv cameras might glance over you :). You could also create a banner and bring a mate along with you to the game and both of you can hold it up. Make sure the banner relates to football etc.

Thats what I've spent the last 5 mins thinking anyway :). I've thought of doing this myself, except I live all the way down under so going to games would be insanely expensive lol. But the Rugby World Cup is coming to my country in a few months so that will bring me some good opportunities for exposure :).

By the way, you're talking about football as in soccer, right?:).

EDIT: Yeah I know this is an offline way of doing things, but it could bring you in alot of visitors :).

Thanks guys some great ideas. Never thought of text for live scores, genius idea! SFI as for your idea, it sounds cool, but the real problem is that the legality of online streams is still in question and if I was to do that in a stadium I'd have trading standards at my door instantly. The premiership HATE us and are trying to shut us down. The only reason we keep reappearing is these sites are extremely profitable when on page 1 for certain keywords. Used to be a doddle but getting onto page 1 is impossible now for my old keywords. I've been stuck on page 2 for over 7 months and can't seem to push through. Sorry yeh guys football as in soccer, forgetting this forum is mainly US :)
