Yes, I'm one of those users that made a Pinterest account after everyone started to tell me how cool it is
but I didn't see no coolness at the time so it just got put to the side.

So today, I decided let's give it a second shot.. pretty late, but better late than never.

Here's a dumb question to start with - does followers really matter? I'm confused are the 1s you follow coming up on the homepage or is that for those who have a high pinning ratio with loads of likes u_U

I'm not following them yet when I click their profile it says "unfollow all" which means I clicked the "follow all" button? am I missing something...

Anyway I simply want to create boards, with pictures then link them back - for that I need an audience whats the best way to go about it.

For those that throw the "Google it" or use the search bar, been there done that - read through many articles but still a little confused zz

started with pintrest 2 days ago myself.
You need a lot of hype, loats of followers & loads of images (thats what it is all about).

I have a custom bot that does all of that for me, there are probably some for sale on bhw as well, if you want I can hook you up for a price.

    Regards healzer :)

Thanks for the swift answer, and wow I feel normal! I thought I was a dummy and a half for not taking advantage before and now when I'm trying its mind boggling. I'll PM you thanks.

Anymore suggestions guys - how do you get mass followers, any good methods manually? Images I'll take care of =)

I created one for my business about a month ago. I couldn't find an auto follower bot so I've been doing it the slow way. It hasn't made much of a difference for me though. I also started a WeHeartIt account & that works much better. Apparently my products appeal to the WeHeartIt demographic better than Pinterest.

Never heard of the weheartit website -_- just found an imacros script for pinterest so I'll just use that with delay.

I'm still trying to get a hang of the whole concept, when you gain a high amount of followers how do these followers come back again and again? will this be through the homepage of pinterest like twitter/facebook as right now mine is showing up with randoms that I never followed so I'm guessing these are just popular pins.

Yeah there are a few different views you can see on your homepage. One is popular pins, another is people you follow, etc. The only way to really make Pinterest work is by constantly uploading new images. You want people to follow your boards so make sure you properly organize all your images. Pinterest is mainly geared toward women so boards like "For the Home" & "Must Have" are really popular. Plus it's great that you can set each image's clickthrough link to whatever you choose, but be careful about doing it with unrelated images. They are really cracking down on spammers.

WeHeartIt appeals to young women & teens. So my product fits perfectly. It's different than Pinterest because your click-through link is automatically set to the image from the site you grabbed the image from & there's no way to change it later. The way I've gotten around this is I upload an image to my product page, "heart it" on WeHeartIt then immediately delete it from my site. This way WeHeartIt saves the link & the image I want appears. Plus tagging is much easier on WeHeartIt & people use it more. That's just my two cents though.
