I didn't know which category to put this in and this 1 had a lot of viewers so I'm sticking it here for now and hoping someone can guide me.
I'm starting a new medical oriented business. I need to know the best and most cost efficient way to market it locally. I did research keywords but it didn't look to good the searches were pretty low for most and probably not worth trying to rank the keywords. There were only a few that had a lot of searches.

I was thinking about facebook ads, google ads and possible doing some SEO for the few keywords but is there anything else that can be done to get the business out in front of a large number of people locally?

Is it possible to narrow it down to not only specific cities but also age and income brackets?

Also if you could tell me what the approximate cost and time would be for such marketing methods that would be helpful. If its more than just filling in some blanks like facebook ads, I will be outsourcing it since this is not my line of work and I need to make an informed decision.

Thanks in advance for all the advice!!

Create a scandal, trust me, nothing works better. You said you're a medical oriented biz. I know a dentist that moved to a new city and no one knew him. You know what he did? He decided to fix his dogs tooth....by making it golden. He called TV, they were happy to report on this and the next day he was the most famous dentist in the city.
Don't be afraid to do things different
