I've been researching on autoblogs for quite some time and had about ~10 ones that didn't do so hot. Finally got one that is making me some money (only about 10 cents a month, but it's a start!). Anyway, I think, after reading and trying several times, I understand a little better what I need to do. Before I start creating more and more autoblogs, I wanted to know what is the best way to manage all of them. Is there some software to mass update all plugins and do various other things?

At the moment, I notice everytime I log into my current auto-blog, there are about 5-6 plugins that need updating every few weeks, and, if I plan to run a hundred of these, I just can't realistically maintain them all.

I think i'd rather have 10 blogs making $10/m than 100 blogs making $0.10 a month... 100 times easier to manage IMO...

But you can approach it how you like. Why not spend a little more time on each blog, wait until they are earning $5-10/m each then start another 10?

Seems more logical.... just my $0.02

Custom scripts? The DB isn't too difficult to work with, if you're code savvy enough it would be an easy matter to write a script/SQL to make one change across all sites at once. Come to think of it I may just do that myself....

thats what i did.. i wrote a bunch of custom scripts to update plugins, database tables, files, etc. i can manage thousands of sites if necessary

Well, that is my plan, but even with this, at some point, I'll probably have 100 blogs. It's not like I'll have 10 earning $5-10/day, then stop after 10 or 20.

I guess I'll get someone on BHW to work on a script, as that seems to be my only option. With these scripts, I'm guessing it doesn't matter how I set up the blog, correct? Meaning, I can set them up regularly, and worry about the script when I have 20-30 autoblogs I need to update.

There are lots of types of Software available that can help you do this. But thing to mention is whether or not all of your sites will be on the same server or not. If you have your dedicated Server, you have much more leniency compared to shared hosting ...

Are you working with a dedication server, or shared hosting? I could perhaps steer you into the right direction if you're using something either WordPress or Joomla (PHP, MySQL CMS)

:D

I am currently using shared hosting through Host Gator, and all my autoblogs are created using Wordpress.

try Blog Organizer, Blog Automater, Link Organizer

Thanks.. I'll be sure to check these out.

try wordpressinstaller.net

you can add your existing blogs and you can manage all those blogs from same place.

current blog management features includes
-upgrade wordpress core
