    Hey guys,

Could you post your opinion of the best way to earn money from a blog sharing ebook, journal, papers?

I can't post a link for an example, you can google keyword ebookfan to see the website sample.

I opened a site (type "ebookfan" in google to see the site, I cannot post link because I am new) to help people download ebook, journal articles, papers. If you don't get ebooks or papers on the site. You may request and I will help you to get ebook and papers. Also, I am going to share some technique related to downloading ebook and papers as well.

I am trying to increase traffic by attracting members from all over the world.
And I would like to know what I should do to earn money with this kind of blog I am building with.

If you are providing ebooks to other people, a CPA offer might work.

Also, If you are offering free ebooks, it wouldnt hurt to promote a good paid ebook through clickbank here and there throughout your blog.

To promote an ebook through clickbank, you have to go to clickbank and signup, and just find the ebooks or whatever else you want to promote, and follow the instructions given. I really dont know what else to say, I tried to help, but you have to help yourself too. You just have to try different things and see if they work.

A CPA offer is cost per action. It requires someone to complete a survey to access your content usually.

You get paid for each person who completes it.
Checkout LeadBolt or the other CPA things in the CPA forum.

Is CPA the only way I can monetize my site? How about others methods?

    jackychan,
I looked at your blog...the design is nice. What theme is that?
One thing that can make it either difficult OR easy is that you have picked a very tight theme: Scientific & technical e-books. Not many sites I've seen recently have titles like "Normal Forms and Bifurcation of Planar Vector Fields" or "Singular Elliptic Problems: Bifurcation and Asymptotic Analysis". :albertein
SO...regular people looking for e-books are not going to find what they want on your extremely specialized site. If you can target your traffic very tightly, then this isn't a problem, it becomes a benefit. But if your traffic is NOT targeted, you're going to have very poor metrics.

Some monetization ideas: maybe Adsense...or other PPC network...education-related CPA offers....In-text PPC ads (e.g., Infolinks)

I don't think the gateway method is that great an idea for you....Here is the reason: a guy who is looking for a book called "Macromolecular Metal Carboxylates and Their Nanocomposites" is NOT going to fill out some silly survey like "When Will You Die?" or "Are You Smarter Than Your Friends?"

Do you think my theme is tight? Is it not good?

That's just the title of the Post. Does it play important role?

No, my target is to attract traffic. What should I do?

Thanks for your recommendation. I am learning these methods. If possible, please tell more details. It would be appreciated.

Yes, I agree with your idea.

English is not your first language, correct? Sorry, I used "theme" with two different meanings right after each other, and therefore I was probably not clear. The first time I said "theme" I meant the WP template of your blog. The second time I should have said "niche" instead of "theme" because I meant "theme" in the sense of topic of your site.

Your niche is very tight...it's what some people might call a micro-niche. This can be good or bad: Good if you use it to your advantage by going after highly targeted traffic. But if your traffic is not very well targeted, you won't do as well.

A niche is your target market, i.e., your audience. For example, "people looking for e-books" is a niche. A more tightly defined niche might be "people looking for technical e-books". A very narrow micro-niche would be "students looking for free advanced engineering e-books".

If your niche is extremely narrow, but your traffic is very broad, it won't work so well. If you work hard to get millions of visitors/day but they aren't interested in your narrow niche then 99.9999% of those visitors are worthless. However, if you instead work to get traffic that is targeted (i.e., your actual audience and their interests match what you are presenting to them) then you might get 10 visitors/day but they are all very interested in what you have on your site, and ideally all of the ads and links they see there, too.

That's what I mean by "targeted traffic"...you are aiming your sights at a very narrow circle, instead of using a shotgun aimed from the waist.

Of course your goal is to attract traffic. But do you want "targeted traffic" or "untargeted traffic"?

How much have you really sat down and asked yourself that question? Who are the people you want to come to your site, and what exactly are you going to provide them? Is is just for very technical people, or are you going to have e-books on lots of more popular topics?

Yes, of course, I realize that I was quoting titles of e-books available on your site...and yes, it's probably a good idea that the title of the post is also the name of the e-book. For one thing, when they see it on your site, they'll know that's the book they want. Also the title of the post is going to appear in the search engines, assuming you're doing your SEO correctly.
