I have decided to try some article marketing, I found the product and have the keywords, I will have 30 or articles written, then I will upload them to maybe 20 top article directories and spin them a bit.

My question is what is the best way to link to a offer.

    1. My own sales page then a hoplink to the offer
    2. My own sales page and a hoplink direct to the offer payment page
    3. My own domain that includes a keyword redirected direct to the offer page using my hoplink.

I am thinking number 3 as this seems the easy way to do it, I don't really think the punters will wade through 2 sales pages. From what has been posted it would seem that article sites allow you to send traffic to your own site then redirect, but not straight to your hoplink from the article.

    Any thoughts are most welcome.

What I've done in the past is set up a dummy page with content on it. I put that on my site somewhere, then post my article.

Once it gets accepted, change your dummy page to a redirect.

Articles serve 2 purposes, targeted Traffic and Back Links (for SERPs and more traffic).

Article Marketing is about building value in your virtual real estate (domain and website), which has value because of its historical and potential income stream.

Your business plan should include your own (.com. net or .info) domain and your website which is really your 30 articles hung together in a meaningful way - both of which become your real estate property of value.

Your marketing plan is then by means of articles - which are best positioned as "pre-sales" rather than "sales" documents. Your articles warm up the prospect, the Clickbank vendor then hunts down and kills the meat you herd his way.

So you want to go with option 4. Build value in your real estate, and let your Clickbank vendor by the rent on it.

Articles should be 700-1,000 words of positive but not too pushy pre-sales stuff written with quality, not just spun crap.
