My current conversion is terrible, sitting at 391 clicks 4.09% Conversion 16 ordered items.

I just write reviews on certain stuff following this:

    Small Introduction.

List 1-3 items that fits the needs of the reader.

Under each items show specifications and talk a bit about it then a button to buy on Amazon.

    Conclusion.

All my articles are around 450-750 words.

That's not a terrible conversion rate. Sounds about average. Of course, you could probably test things like make the image a link to Amazon, and change what the links say. But on the whole, sounds like you on the right track.

Well my niche is techbology so my fees are fixed to 2.5% on amazon and this conversion doesnt really help either. Wanted to get to 30$ a day so I could fully dedicate myself to this and replicating the process for more sites but if 400 clicks = 40$ or so then Id need a few thoisand visitors every day which might be hard since im only targetting long tails between 200-1600 ms

I used to promote technology products too. They had a cap at around 4% at the time. And of those items sold, they capped the commission at around 25$. It's been a while since I was in that niche, but sounds like it's got worse. I moved away from tech and found it to be more profitable for the same amount of work in other niches. That's based on my experience, may not be the same for everyone.

So my advice to you is to keep doing what you're doing with the tech site, your conversions seem OK, but build another site on the side that don't have such restrictions on commissions. For example selling a $1000 item in the tech niche gives you around 25$ capped (or less nowadays?), but sell a similar priced product in a non electronic niche at a reasonable 6.5% is 65$. The difference is massive, and you would be surprised how often those 1000$ items sell if your keywords are targeted long tails.

Add some reviews. Include a Youtube video review of your product if you can find one.

it's easier if you use youtube because people like demonstrations of the product and you mention how there are more reviews at your link, etc.

amazon is pretty easy dude ^_^
