hi, im creating a logo designing site and i want to know the best way of giving customers a questionnaire form that they are required to fill out after purchasing

the form needs to be able to be tracked, and automated

anyone know the best method to accomplishing this?

i heard there are plugins like contact form 7 and gravity forms that are widely popular, im not sure if these forms are used for the purpose i described above though so if anyone have had any experience with those plugins id much appreciate your knowledge

most of the stuff i've searched for deals more with a very simple form placed on a website that basically asks for name/last name/email....this is different from what im looking for though

no, more like to fill out information: their company name, what kinda design they would like, their competetitor's websites so i can look at their logos, etc. etc....basically a long questionaire form

i want to be able to keep track of these forms and make sure that only the intended customer can fill out and see this form

Yep you're going to have to just use a php form. I don't get how a simple one that asks for their name, etc isn't what you're looking for?

You just expand that code to add more input fields.

google forms sounds like it fits your requirements. or create your own. if you're on wordpress there's many contact form plugins you can use to achieve that.

I can testify that Gravity Forms will give you lots of options and add-ons. They even can collect payment for you. I have done some complex forms for real estate which require user to upload files and Gravity Form has done a good job.

i know most google stuff like google docs/google sheets require someone to have a gmail and then access these docs while on google's servers....is that required for google forms using these plugins? cause not everyone will have a google acc and it would look unprofessional if i took them to a googleforms platform

Man if you are running a serious business, and you are collecting payments. Implement a serious solutions, don't just glue it together.

well yes, i dont know whether google forms is a "serious solution" though...thats why im asking

i appreciate everyone's input and would like to learn more, ive taken gravity forms into account...it seems like a more advanced version of contact form 7, but if i can start off with contact form 7 i rather use that cause i think gravity costs a lot.

    Do you have a website?
Just pay a coder to build one on your own server, would take 30 minutes.

im in the process of working on/completing it

id rather do this myself because i want to be able to make changes and everything at will and understand how the stuff works, the hardest part will probably be what im asking here in the thread, which is what plugin/software provides the functions to do this

You can start with C7, it will let you collect the info. Google form is not intended to run a business, more as collaboration tool.

Then my friend the best advice I can give you is to read the docs for C7. Everything you need to know is there.

    URL
    Code:

google forms doesn't require you to be logged into the google universe to submit. i've seen a lot of biz using it this year to get input from their customers in form of surveys. even as opt-in pages. works well for intended purpose as webmasters say their backend is very neat. c7 is full of features too and can handle a lot of customization if you know css. it requires wordpress which can be a pro or a con depending on who you ask.

After the purchase has been made, the success page which they will be redirected to will contain the form.

The if you are using paypal as the payment processor, there is a success url field which you are required to complete. This is the page the customer is redirected to after the purchase. The form can be created with your autoresponder. It will just be a multiple field form but there must be some form of bait or incentive that you will include on the page to get them to fill the form.

    Hope this helps

Jot forms is great and they don't limit your question amount. Does not cost anything for the free version and it is super flexible. Check it out

I have no affiliation with this
