Best way to get upvote in reddit ?

first days in reddit, what i can see is: Ppl who have 200 upvotes 20hrs ago still in the top but who post now and have 400 upvotes still down. so, to get in top we need be the first to coment or have other way ?

I believe the amount of people that comment on a comment also matters.

Reddit has an algorithm to determine which comment is the most interesting and should be at the top.
