create a googlepage and place your blogs RSS feed on that page. you can also do the same in yahoo and msn.

you can also use yahoo answers. find a question that you can answer. then give you answer and leave a link to your blog. just make sure your answer is relevant and your not spamming.

Most of the time blogs are indexed by pinging alone. Just get a blog pinger ( its free) and ping as many services you can.

Here is a small ping list which may be helpful to you.

Does all the ping list work? Some are quite old and outdated.

That was helpful for me, I just update my blog with all of them.

As far as indexed by search engines go, I just submit my blog to google, yahoo, and msn. Traffic comes soon after.

Do you mean you use http://www.google.com/addurl/ link to submit site to google? As such there is no need for that. it never helps.
Just submit your site to google webmaster tool, verify it and submit the sitemap.
Rest depends upon backlinks and B&P.:banana:

Yes, I submit my link to google. That reminds me, I still need to submit a sitemap in my google webmaster tool, for one of my sites.

Yeah, backlinks does help a lot, I got over 4k backlinks to my blog.

I actually mentioned this in another thread under the blogging section but I'll mention the appropriate part here again...

Not saying this is the BEST way -- just the way I do it and it's been working for a long time...

Definitely copy and paste as many ping urls into your WordPress dashboard as you can find however, I do not additionally add urls from sites like pingomatic or pingoat because doing that simply repeats a lot of the same pings.

No matter what I do with a domain, I ALWAYS install WordPress and post at least 3 to 5 articles just so when I'm ready to exploit that domain, it's indexed and ready to go.

Since we're really only talking about getting indexed, here's how I accomplish that within a week but normally 3 to 4 days -- this is after I've published at least 3 to 5 articles.

    1) Head on over to whois.sc and look up my new domain. Googlebot sits on this site almost 24/7 and every time you look up a domain, whois.sc automatically creates a dynamic page that links to your new domain. Google spiders and indexes the link to your new domain.

    2) I also like to use: likesthispage.com by creating accounts and adding my "favorite" links... LOL.

    3) Download VIGOS GSitemap or GSiteCrawler and create a sitemap with the software. *NOTE: I use both for different purposes but for just the purpose of getting indexed, I prefer VIGOS GSitemap because it's FAST and when I finish creating my sitemap, I upload and ping. GSiteCrawler has a lot more options but takes me longer to use it but it's great depending on what you need to do. Don't underestimate the power of a great sitemap. Both of these programs will provide that for you. Once you create your sitemap, PING Google.

    4) Your new domain should be spidered and indexed within a week.

    YAHOO ANSWERS

Using yahoo answers is the best and quickest to getting your new blog indexed.

In my white hat experience..I have two yahoo accounts. I use one account to ask questions and another to answer. I use this tactic to get on top of the search engines in a matter of hours.

I ask something about a topic of my and I also answer that same question...I also give it best answer...

Barrack I like the way you think...I loved that last post. I wsih that my mind thought that way. I'm going to have to put that technique to work and to find out other ways to apply that technique. Of course you'd have to sign up from a different proxy just to avoid foot prints. You could even add on to it by having 3 or 4 accounts all promoting different sites....ooh this gets me thinking.

Plenty of good methods listed here. In my personal experience the fastest out of everything mentioned here is simply to bookmark your sites. You will see your sites indexed anywhere from minutes to a few hours. I suggest you go to socialmarker.com and use the majority of sites listed there.

Not long ago, dzone.com and oyax.com I found got my sites indexed almost instantaneously. I tested this several times and it worked each time. I don't know what it was about those sites or if itwas just a fluke, but at one time, I bookmarked a site using dzone and from the time it took me to type in my "keyword" and run through the rankings, my site was listed on page 6 google.

The strength of those sites may have changed since then, but all the bookmarking will do the trick. If you use dzone just be aware it's geared towards software and they keep a tight grip on what is submitted there.

Oh, and you will want to ping any of the bookmarking sites that have RSS feeds for your listings.
