Hello,
I have recently been using the "Google Keyword Planner" and there are many potential keywords that I am able to shortlist. Even though some of them say low or medium competition, I want to know how Google is coming to that conclusion. I understand that there might not be many websites going for that particular keyword but it doesn't mean that I would be able to beat most of them for page 1. So my question is, how do you determine the difficulty of ranking a keyword? If I type that keyword on google and a bunch of websites show up, what metrics should I examine to determine if the competition really is low or high?
Additionally, is there a keyword tool that can help perform this task? I would really like to find a decent Keyword tool that not only finds the keywords but also helps immensely with analyzing the competition. I think the money is in "identifying the competion" and I want to hear from all the pros and old timers on this one.
Thanks in advance, all replies will be greatly appreciated.
