Want to start doing some drip feed blasts.. What is the best strategy for a brand new site?
Not to rain on the parade and I will probably get flamed for this, but I haven't had the best of luck with drip feed blasts (assuming you are talking about the service). I paid for their service for 2 months. One month I hammered one of my sites, the next month I mixed and matched a bunch of different sites. Never saw results within those 2 months... cancelled assuming that as soon as I cancelled I would get a huge bump in serps and kick myself. After cancelling even several months later my sites never even budged that I was testing drip feed blasts on, and backlinks never went up in any of the different tools.
I am not saying they don't do what they say they are doing, what I am saying is as far as my strategy is concerned I get much better results doing other things.
A new site would probably be damaged by dripfeed blasts IMO, I wasn't damaged I just didn't see any reason to continue to pay $147 per month.
What about doing drip feed blasts yourself?
The best thing is high pr backlinks. Google is shitting on sites and pages that get low quality links from article blasts etc.
My formula for new sites is get links form high pr article directories, press release with good distribution and submission to G news and contextual links from high PR blogs, high PR home page backlinks (you can find services here and on wickedfire)
And I'm assuming your going for niches that are competitive/lucrative because the services mentioned aren't cheap but its important to put your best foot forward IMO.
I would rather try and do it myself first before I pay some one to blast my site
