Hey all, looking for some advice and experience from others here...

I've got a large niche that I am looking to get into, we'll call the keyword for it "stuff", now the keyword "stuff" itself is very competitive and many of the top ranked sites are optimized for that keyword and have been around for quite a while, but I found 3 long tail keywords, "Cool stuff", "Neat stuff", and "Bitchen stuff", each of which get good search traffic by themselves, and have very few optimized sites for each of these words.

My question is, should I go after a single site with the keyword "stuff" in the URL and then within the site break out into "Cool stuff", "Neat stuff", and "Bitchen stuff", or should I just create 3 sites, one for each of the long tails and try to dominate each of them separately?

As a side note the profiles for the three long tail keywords looks very similar to that of a site I put up about 3 month ago, and now is on its way to having 100,000 UV's this month, and making a bit of cash for me :p; Only difference being that that site is based around a single keyword with multiple longtail keywords in it, but it is not as competitive as this new main keyword I'm looking at.

For those that use Market Samurai, for the 3 longtail keywords I'm looking at, and the site that I am ranking really well for, only half of the sites are either yellow or red for optimization, whereas for the new main keyword only one site that is ranking is green.

    Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply, but really what I'm after is should I try and do something like, the main key word "stuff" as the URL ie. stuffisreallycool.com and then have "Cool stuff", "Neat stuff", and "Bitchen stuff", as categories inside of that?

Or, should I have 3 sites Coolstuffisreallycool.com, Neatstuffisreallycool.com, and Bitchenstuffisreallycool.com, so as to rank for those long tail keywords, since the competition in each of those is not as large as in the main keyword category.
