What would you do to do some promotion for a serious youtube channel ? By" serious" I mean a channel that actually provides real content (think music, entertainment and such) and is meant to stay.

Am I on the right path with this?

    Blackhat:
    - slow realistic retention views, likes, subs
    - trying to set social signs that point to the youtube channel and its linked homepage
    - trying to do some SEO (backlinks) to the youtube channel and its linked homepage

    Whitehat:
    - trying to build a real audience with software like toolbox (toolbox is kinda grey hat)
    - contacting key/multiplication sites to raise attention (websites that are about the same topic like the youtube channel and make reviews)

Since I really want to establish something and work on it for a long time it might be an idea to invest into software instead of buying SEO services over and over again?
How would you spend 500$ ? Software or promotion services ?

    Thanks for any input!

Hello, I received a message / offer to tweet my video to twitter followers. I can't reply yet because I do not have enough points.

The youtube channel is about a niche tho. Underground music to be specific. So it is in my pov pointless to tweet to a random community of which maybe 1% like this certain music. If this way of thinking is wrong please let me know.

This is what i feel to, when it comes to subscribers, followers etc you should build a community on your channel or your twitter page and the people who like your stuffs can follow you and blablabla

What is the meaning of subscribers if they are just bots and won't reply or view your videos..

If it's an established channel white way would be much safer, but adding some black won't hurt too.
