This might sound silly. Our team is planning to create YouTube videos that involve promoting brands in a creative way. Whats the best way to monetize those videos?

    We got few options.
    1. Affiliate marketing,
    2. Company sponsorship,
    3. Show video prototype,
    4. Hire a marketing firm to pitch to companies,
    5. Just wait till the video becomes famous so the company might pay you.

We are hoping 1 out of 10 videos might create some buzz but to produce 10 videos its costing us around 3-4K minimum.

There is no guarantee any company would pay even if the video goes viral and created buzz. Corporate red tape, etc might not allow us to reach the company or they might say that video didn't help them. At the same time, we cant ask companies to sponsor without showing them the real video. Its like a catch 22 type situation.

Please share your ideas or experiences if any to help us. Any alternative marketing ideas?

I'm not quite sure if I follow what you are trying to say here, when would you guys be charging for this service? I would assume that you would want them to pay you before the production of the video for that specific company (saying that your sinking 3-4k into each video). I would show them a sample of a previous project you guys have done and what the outcome was of the video, and if they are sold on the video and the pitch you guys do then you would ask for at least a partial payment before you began producing their personalized video.

Thanks for the reply. Our previous videos did 5 to 10K views. Not sure if that would be enough to show the companies. We will try though.
