I've got some PLR vids that I want to make a member site with. Is it best to use Amazon (with a bucket) or YouTube (or something else)?

I thought about Vimeo but they tend to shut you down if you have anything on there of a commercial nature.

I want the ability to have it hosted somewhere but private and "locked" so that it only plays on my domain if possible.

Seriously you should probably go with YouTube, although you would have the little YouTube logo and video console, if you don't mind that it's good. I have used others with little success, YouTube is best if you want the best quality and compatibility imo.

Is it possible to lock down a domain or something so that only my members can see them?

You can't really lock it as far as I know, but if you link the video to a player script that you have installed for members and the video is stored in your hosting file directory then you could make subdirectories that couldn't be guessed easily (for extra security) and have it play from there. Also, with YouTube you can select for the video not to appear in listings so that it just gives you a link and only people with the link can access, then use that to place it into your members area.

I use Amazon S3, Jw Player and S3 FlowShield (plays protected S3 files) for my membership site.

Amazon hosting is really cheap. And you can configure Jw Player to behave and look exactly how you want.

If you are on a budget, sign up for Jw Players mailing list and wait until they send you a 50% off coupon - they do this regularly.

if its a member site you dont want to use youtube otherwise no one will need to become a member.

You can get s3 protection if you want to use somehting like s3 or why dont you just host the videos on your site.

its not as if you need to have tb of space

just upload them at decent quality onto your hosting and then they are properly safe from people like BHW'ers
