I have a couple of good expired domains with nice link portfolio and I don't know what is the best way to use them to rank a single website.
    1. 301 Redirect all of them to my money site
    2. Put an article on each website and then put a link to money site. It requires additional expenses: hosting, content, time.
    3. Install Wordpress and add articles regularly. Even more costly.

Which one is the best in your opinion?
Is there a possibility to be penalized for having ~10 domains redirected to you money site and would it work?

    Thank you for help!

Having many redirects without knowing their exact backlink profile is risky business. Some people get "unnatural links" penalty after a month or two, but people still do it. Churn&Burn.

It's a question of how big of a risk you want to take.

    Option 2 is safer.

What if the backlinks are clean? And another question is it bad if backlinks are not relevant?

If its a high authority domain with good backlink profile, then you can also use it as your money site.

If the sites and backlinks are clean (no penalties, etc.) then you will get more benefit from either options 2 or 3.

But there is a problem. Let's say that expired domain has 100 referring domains:

    1. If I redirect it to my money site I get 100 referring domains link juice minus some % because of 301 redirect.
    2. If I put a single article and link to money site I only get 1 link
    3. If I put a blog on it then link juice passes to all articles in the blog and I get only 1 link.

    Any other opinions?

    It's complicated.

In option 1 you would get more links, but if that domain is not exactly from your niche, those would be unrelated and don't pass a lot of value especially combined with 301 redirect.

Option 2 would probably push your domain value(authority) down with only 1 page of content, but the link would then come from related page with lot of link juice.

Option 3 in my opinion is the best one if domain is not in your niche. Just use internal linking to drive most of the juice back from the articles to homepage (or any other page where you link to you money site).

Thanks for the opinion. In case the domain is closely related to my niche what would be the best option?

I am always trying to rebuild the sites, but this takes time and money. In my opinion it is the best to have a real site with one link from one of the high PR pages pointing to your site

301 to the money, for sure...

One of the awesome things about 301's is they're undo-able if it all goes terribly wrong!

redirect will work good, blast them with anchor links and you will be pushed to the top, just do not forget to block ahrefs and other spy bots. however if you have money you can make nice websites and get some traffic to them.

How about you try out some of the above suggestions for yourself, before you ask for even more advice?
