I have a small ecommerce site that I want to use a pbn with to improve rankings.

So with an ecommerce site with many products and pages, what's the best way to link a pbn to it? Link to home page using different anchor text? Linking to products?

Basically what's the most effective use of a pbn with an ecommerce site?

How is the structure of your site? I would link to the main categories if you have build your site in a silo structure pagejuice will flow to your product pages, so before you start PBNing make sure the structure is sound :)

It's built using prestashop so I think it's already silo'd, if by that you mean homepage>categories>products.

There's not really another way to set up an ecommerce site as far as I know.

So linking to category pages is the way to go?

I worked for one ecommerce platform website for that I arranged 5 PBN links and put keywords as an anchor text.It gives nice boost to SERP when I run GSA for these 5 links. :)

What pages did you link to? Home, categories or product?

I would second the category push if your website is siloed correctly. Generally you want to push authority to the domain/category level over an individual product.

I would suggest you to link to product pages and categories using long tail anchors or product name as anchor text.

A little trick I've seen for guys using an ecommerce script that supports affiliates is to build your links as affiliate links, and build the PBN domains as small affiliates promoting your site. That way you are safer in case of a manual review (even though you can never be 100% safe when doing BH stuff).

I will focus on individual product pages and make sure the content of those pages are optimized. Each site in the PBN will be targeting different set of similar products.
