I wanna buy a new TV for PS3 gaming and was wondering from all you gamers out there, which is the best TV to get?

    Plasma
    LCD
    LED

    ???

Also theres the thing about the motion display and how fast the screen can move around with your actions on the controller.

So which type of TV is the best?

Dont think i want to go bigger than 40inch coz il be sitting kinda close to the TV, maybe even 40inch is still too big, but 32inch sounds far to small lol

Plasmas don't have this problem. LCD TVs do, higher refresh rate is better.

LED is LCD just powered by LED lights, this is the most efficient design.

LCD uses less power than plasma (and is thinner and lighter), LED/LCD the least of all.

Also I am pretty sure a plasma will die someday- LCD's don't until they crack in my experience.

I was checking out some 3d TV's the other day at Best Buy. I thought it would be gimicky. I was actually really impressed. Looked better than 3D movies at the theater, aside from Avatar. So if you can afford a 3D TV get one, there are over 50 PS3 3D titles on the way. Call of Duty: Black Ops is actually playable in 3D which would be amazing in itself.

ok so i read that article, lol but which are you saying is better? LCD, only if you have a higher refresh rate TV that can turn off that feature for watching movies lol

Your not into plasma for gaming?

I think LCD produces a better brighter picture perfect for gaming, not so sure plasma can do this.

I have Samsung's LED tv , believe me LED's are best for gaming because of the high contrast ratio. Go for LED .. LCD is old and not that great !

On AVSForum, this would have already turned in to a flame war. My vote is for Plasma, and my preferred brand is Samsung.

    Panasonic Plasma, the G20 series.

I used to hate plasmas, but plasmas have virtually no lag on them and the G20 series is impressive and by far the best, lower priced, plasmas out there.

    I got a 50 inch G20 for like 1,000$ and it's awesome.

I'd only reccomend a plasma if you're a serious online player.
