Best Tools to Promote a New website that's Launched?

Hey Guys,

Just launched me new website.

I need to do a lot of promoting and advertising for it to gain users, hits and so forth. What are the best tools. Im specifically looking at:

1. Getting more hits on my youtube videos (or getting featured).
2. Twitter software that adds like 400 people a day based on the right category.
3. Free SEO tool to increase google rankings (Joomla site btw).

Im a newbie to this site so please forgive if this is not the right category.

My site is called Webinest.

you can get traffic via social medias and make Backlinks, Bookmarking, etc...
 
In a big football match, go down the field completely naked with a banner which has your sitename on it. That will make a huge impact. Believe me.:D (and for free too)

This is a great idea. I bet it will go underrated too. Shame because it's a great definition of 'thinking outside the box'. Another idea is, murder some people in your town and write your site url in their blood on shop windows and walls, on the sidewalk, etc. Make sure you leave the bodies in the area of the URL so people will take it seriously and not think it was ketchup or something. Ok that's a bit dark lol.

You need to hit multiple avenues. Setup a marketing plan and list all the methods of promotion you are going to do.

For Example:

Monday - Article marketing
Tuesday - Press Releases
Wednesday - Blog Commenting
Thursday - Twitter/Facebook tools
Friday - Forum posting
Saturday & Sunday - Drink Beer

That's just a simplified example of what you can do. Just get a list organized of how you want to promote your site and set to it or outsource it or automate it.
 
Try to add your site to web directories for your niche, too. I suggest linksadmin.net to start.

Definitely need to get organised and give yourself a timescale each day to perform the necessary tasks for link building, promotion etc.

Going by Jericho's work ethic; some tools i use and you will need to get, there are others but these are very cheap and some are FREE.

Just spam any site like facebook and if your site's good enough enough it'll go viral.

This is excellent advice. Because just doing one or two things is never enough. Just like having multiple streams of income, you need multiple streams of traffic to your website. So sit down, come up with a list of ways to improve your site rankings and then start deciding how much time a day/week you want to work on the different methods.

Just try and do it in a way that flows easily from task to task, day to day. Otherwise you'll be back tracking and jumping around and that is not good for progress.
 
Thanks guys! I will try some of the above posts. I think backlinks are the most common answer here. Would love to try that twitterbot thing too.
Does anyone know of any good and up-to-date ones?

start building links with do-follow and follow the following steps for the high rankings in search engine ....

Article submission
One way free directory submission
Social Bookmarking.
Social media optimizaiton
Blog Comments
Press release ...

Do these steps in correct manner and you will see your rankings will improve definatly
