Does YouTube more easily remove videos that have PPD links directly in the video description? I have heard people say this before, but is there any real proof? And if so does a link shortener help any?

The stuff I'm providing downloads to I think doesn't really benefit from landing pages, actually I think having a landing page loses me clicks, so Id rather just put the link right in the description. But I don't want me video to meet a early removal from this, if having a blog link in the description will keep it alive for a long time to come.

Use widgets on simple clear landing page, to easily notice download button, dont put to much stuff on your landing page. With PPD links on video you risking alot to get deleted faster (its clearly said in YT rules that you cant promote ANY affiliate networks, with landing page it wont get noticed so fast, because youre just promoting your site, not directly...) and I believe you will be getting less conv. if using PPD links because these links already have bad rep, but widgets never will have, because you can change landing page to unique yourself.

By widgets you mean content lockers right? And which setting do you recommend, one click pop, or popping on website load?

If you don't want to use LP use link shortener.
    Ex. bit.ly , goo.gl etc...
