Well,
I consider myself far from being a good copywriter, but the compliment is appreciated. I think that the two things that have really helped...
1. Obviously Trial and Error...Yep, I spent tons of money over the last 2 yrs.
2. In Depth Market Analysis.
Here's what I am really into. When it comes to lead generation and making money online, the compeition is fierce on the net. I really turned my efforts to Newspapers. Now, I was told where to go, and at first I was looking at make money Adwords Ads and guaging off of them.
When I stop looking at the ads and trying to replicate them, I took a long, hard look at myself. 5 Years ago, I was deep in debt, I went thru two mortgage refinancings, I knew how tough it was to find the right insurance for a home.
I guess life experiences play a large part in my most successful niches. As far as affiliate marketing though, I only promote physical products unless it's a blog link or something.
I have probably read every ebook on Adwords and Copywriting. While I normally don't care to recommend them, I personally attribute a lot of my success to Gary Halbert (Copywriting), Perry Marshall (Adwords, Guerilla/Trend Marketing) and while most people hate him, I really like X from the Adwords Blackbook. As far as persuasive words that make you want to pull out your credit card, it's tough to be Frank Kern.
