I have always worked in the SEO/Facebook field. Recently I started a new project and I built an email list/contact list of customers I know would be interested in my product.

I have never dealt with direct marketing, such as adding people over Messenger and talking with them. I got around 1000 REALLY targeted email. Since it is only 1k emails, I guess email marketing would be ineffective.

What is the best source/books/forum to learn about Direct Web Marketing (way of chatting with people to convince them to buy something etc..)?

    Any help appreciated!
    Cheers!

One of my favorite forms of marketing is flyer ads :)

I have an image designed with my information on it, then I go onto vistaprint and order 1500 post cards, then around 11pm or 12pm I go around to small businesses where I know the owner/manager will see my flyer and I put 1 flyer on the door and wait.

You don't have much competition if you run an online business since you're doing offline marketing :)

This tends to convert pretty well since the person may come back to your site a few times a month :D

Give a general idea of what you are trying to sell or to whom. It sounds like you are doing the same many of us are doing. Nothign wrong with small lists as long as they are good and targeted.

As far as chatting with people and getting them to buy, I guess that will work if it is an expensive item but it sounds more like a waste of time.

Tell us more about your project and I'm sure we can help. As of now, we only know that you have 1000 emails and want to chat with people...
