I want to change my career path and start an IM business. I'm wondering what are the best paying skills to learn that don't require a huge budget to learn?

I'm currently learning to copywrite but I already have some experience with FB ads.

What is it that you want to do? not what you think will make you money, but what you are naturally inclined towards. Do that. Chasing a career only because of higher pay is a horrible life decision. If you go for something you like, then unless you're stupid (some people truly are), you're going to be good at it since your interest is genuine. It won't feel like you're slaving away, because you'd want to do it anyway, regardless of the $.

Well tbh, i don't know yet haha. I just want to provide the most value I can.

Go to many freelance websites, you can visit social media advertising section.

They have lots of jobs that offering facebook advertising.

Create a YouTube channel that revolves around what you are currently passionate about or around what your current expertise is.
Upload videos as often as possible, and you could even start shooting with your mobile phone. After a few videos, you will self-learn through curiosity, to create better videos with better editing and would hence make batter videos. Make your videos interesting & appealing. As you go on, it is easy to self-learn about creating more appealing videos with better editing.
How to earn from it after a month or two once your channel gains some traction ? Affiliate / referral marketing "Check the link in my video's description to get your special 20% off on XYZ ... " .... Got it ? And if your videos gain traction, there are good chances of brands offering you sponsorships : "This video is sponsored by XYZ ..." ... Got it ? Down the road your channel may get qualified for YouTube's monetization : you see ads before watching many videos ... the channel owners get paid by YouTube to show ads on the channel's videos. Got it ?
Wish you all the best.

I have experience with FB ads but I'm not an expert by any means. How would I improve?

i would suggest giving programming a try to see if you like it or hate it. lots of free resources of very high quality: 100devs, cs50 by harvard (this one is intensive), odinproject. you can pick web design, software development, front-end stuff, back-end stuff, mobile apps, cybersecurity, and a long etc. just remember to stick to super popular languages, pick one and master it before moving to something else, and code at least twice as much time as you spend in videos. regarding some of the opinions expressed above, i personally dont think you have to LOVE your job; loving the amount of money it brings and not hating the job itself is good enough for most.

You have to know what you really really like and keep going forward, otherwise, wasting time.

You can choose Photoshop, Blender, Asprite, or video editing softwares, these are most demanding software skills nowadays.

Or you can choose wordpress + theme/plugin making (though I don't recommend, I think the competition is too damn high, not worth it for individials anymore)

You can choose programming path, learn PHP for website, learn Python for automation, AI things, scraping things, learn C# for game engines.

After choose a route, learn the skills, build side projects and demos to show your skills, then apply for jobs.

You have to know what is inside you, nobody can help you.

i think mailing is easy to learn no technical knowledge needed and dont need budget to learn

Oh you want to provide the most value huh? Thats cute.

Had you said you wanna make money maybe youd have my attention. But this providing value is such bs.

Like, a rich guy being called successful. Oh you mean he's successful for being rich? So why not just call a spade a spade? You got a little bullshitty play on words situation going on there :p

You said you have experience on copywrite and FB ads. Nice one

While dont you try giving more room to this niches, both are great niche. for example, you can start making videos contents on both niches and ad your call to action link, start building leads from these. engage with your followers and much more

and the beautiful thing is, the more videos or contents you create, the more you learn and keep improving

Best of luck to you. Cheers

haahahaha good good :D

Pay no attention to my bullshit. Too much isolation.

You provide value to the marketplace, you get rewarded (with money). That's how it works. Unless you're a piece of shit scammer or something :p

Consider taking some good Social Media Marketing Course from Udemy dot com to upgrade your skills. I am saying this because Social Media Marketing does not involve any complex coding level difficulties. An average person with little interest in Online media and content promotion can do it, if he/she decides to!

You can offer your services in BHW later to make some money then.

Hone your existing skills and figure out a way to market it
For instance, freelancers seek job opportunities on LinkedIn to get rid of the fees they pay on each platform
