dont really know what to call it but sites like squidoo that let you make lens and simple sites like such. Are there other sites like these out there? Got a project and I need a bunch of simple little sites for it. I may use squidoo but I want to know what else is available out there. thanks.

well I'll clarify....I'm looking to have the hosting covered too. thats why I mentioned squidoo. I came across "weebly" they look good. has anyone used them?

I've used weebly in the past. It worked for that project, but generally I want the freedom to write php code which isn't (or at the time, wasn't) available.

Another thing to watch out for how many sites you can have in your account. If you just need a few sites, it's no big deal but last time I looked they charged a monthly membership for up to 10 sites (only 2 sites for free accounts). So you'd need multiple accounts if you were putting together a lot of pages.

Weebly's editor was slick though, I knocked a site out in the blink of an eye.

interesting. what kind of information do they ask to open an account? could I get away with making around 20 accounts with fake info? I'm not sure how many sites I want to make yet but probably around 100 or more.

i dont like free blogs because I have been banned in the past for creating "spam blogs". Is Weebly strict when it comes to making sites?

If you want to build a blog site, use wordpress by signing up at Wordpress.com; or even at Blogger.com, which is in some way similar to wordpress.

If you want to build a much complicated site, try Drupal or even Joomla.

By the way you can try building Wordpress, Drupal or Joomla sites in some of the sites offering free hosting. They also have Fantastico scripts that can install any of these 3 CMS-based websites and other site scripts you may need by signing up to them your gmail account, and receiving your access details (username, password, cpanel, ftp, etc) in configuring your site.
for a sample, you may check this free hosting site:
HTML:
http://philcyb.com
sign up is quick. and activation is instant.

Or you can Google search for terms like "Free Hosting sites Fantastico"

Good luck to your search.

Good tainted!
