    One that I use is
    Code:
    www.notlong.com
    . It gives you a password once you have shortened/coded your affiliate link. This way, you can always edit it or change it whenever you want.

    If the purpose behind using a url shortening service is to just simply make a short url, then the above services are fine. Although, if your trying to hide the referrer, I'd suggest doing a double meta refresh to blank it. Tinyurl and other services leak the referrer and cannot be trusted to keep your referrer secret.

    Others include...

    a2n - An URL Shortening Service that can shorten up to 100 long URLs in one go. You can also customize each a2n URL generated with your own personal tag.

    AZQQ - A simple URL Shortening Service with a Google like interface.

    Beam.to - Create customized Beam.to URLs of your long URLs. You can add passwords to your URLs as well.

    b65.us - This service allows you to password-protect and customized your URLs.

    CanURL - Another simple URL Shortening Service.

    C-O.IN - This is an URL redirection service with which you can redirect your long URLs to customized short domain names.

    Curio.us - Yet another simple service to create short URLs.

    Cuturls - This is a light service with a similar interface like that of AZQQ.

    Decent URL - A URL Shortening Service that provides you a premium account for USD 7.00 in which you get to edit your URLs, view click counts, and automatically detect broken links.

    DigBig - DigBig allows you to shorten your URLs and provides you an administrative dashboard to view the number of clicks on your URLs after you register with their service.

    Doiop - Write your own keyword to use when shortening a long URL with Doiop.

    dn.vc - The URL Shortening Service with one of the shortest names.

    durl - A simple URL Shortening Service with browser bookmarklets.

    DwarfURL - Password-protect the URL you created. You can also see the list of the URLs you have created with Your DwarfURL History.

    easyURL - Customizable URL Shortening Service.

    As DuchRebel says ... it's so simple to do yourself.

    If you have an affiliate link shortened, it's the simplest thing in the world for a shortening service to change the affiliate id to theirs, say 1 in 5 or 10 whatever

    Also, you're giving away your stats, do it yourself and you can see stats for click throughs, also block spider hits if you like.

    Perhaps there is a good reason to use a shortening service instead of doing it yourself but the reason eludes me, anyone, good reason?

    Simple to create your own redirect short "Pretty URLS"

    1. Create or modify a .htaccess upload to your server and or in a sub directory (this will allow you to ommit the .php extension making it "Pretty")
    Note: windows will not let you make a file beginning with a (.)dot so name it htaccess then rename it to .htaccess once it's on your server, it will however allow you to download a file beginning with a (.)dot, not sure why but it does.
    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.php [L,QSA]

    2. Create a PHP file on the same server and or in the same directory as the .htaccess for your redirect.
    PHP:
    <?php
    header
    'Location: http://your_destination_url' ) ;
    ?>
    example: http://yourdomain/12345.php (not a "Pretty URL") will be:
    http://yourdomain/12345 (a "Pretty URL" thanks to the .htaccess file) and will redirect to your desired affiliate offer or website.

    It's that simple, like a few people said you can do your own tracking with this. A few benefits of doing this yourself:
    1. You can track with your hosts statistical program(s) or your a third party tracking program.
    2. If your doing PPC with direct links to affiliate offers, you will not reveal the keywords or true origin of the traffic to your Affiliate Network.

    I use one domain for all of my short URLS and redirects and I do this for most of my affiliate offers as to hide my landing pages and websites from my Affiliate Networks. So links from my websites or landing pages on http://mydomain1 go to http://mydomain2/offers/1234 and my Affiliate Networks know nothing about http://mydomain1.

    also if you chooseto change your offer, you can just change your ph file, and all the traffic instantly goes to the other url.

    and you can use a rotator. also very important.

    UPDATED INFO

    Someone messaged me with their scenario and I when typing out the previous message I got side tracked and turned what should be just a simple redirect "Pretty URL" into something a little more complicated and left out a crucial piece of information for blanking out the refer to the Affiliate Networks. So I'm revising the instructions as to not confuse anyone, this will only send a blank refer to the Affiliate Network, it will not forge a referred url.

    You will need to create a html page with a meta refresh on http://yoursite1 that links to http://yoursite2/1234

    the code below has been changed and apiece added from the previous post.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    PHP:
    <?php header'Location: http://your_destination_url' ) ;?>
    example: http://yourdomain/12345.php (not a "Pretty URL") will be:
    http://yourdomain/12345 (a "Pretty URL" thanks to the .htaccess file) and will redirect to your desired affiliate offer or website.

    It's that simple, like a few people said you can do your own tracking with this. A few benefits of doing this yourself:
    1. You can track with your hosts statistical program(s) or your a third party tracking program.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    By adding a html page with meta refresh on your http://yoursite1 and linked to your offer on http://yoursite2/1234 you will not pass your keywords or origin of traffic to your Affiliate Network it will send a blank refer.

    HTML:
    <html>
    <head>
    <META http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http://url_to_your_redirect">
    <title>Your Title If Your Feel Like</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    </html>
    I use one domain for all of my short URLS and redirects and I do this for most of my affiliate offers as to hide my landing pages and websites from my Affiliate Networks. So links(with meta refreshes) from my websites or landing pages on http://mydomain1 go to http://mydomain2/offers/1234 and my Affiliate Networks know nothing about http://mydomain1.

    Yes Mint will track your meta refresh pages. Don't forget to put this into the head section of your meta refresh page so mint can track it:
    HTML:
    <script src="/path_to_your_mint/?js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    These will only show up in the "Pages" view in Mint, so make sure you mark it with the + to add them to your "Watched" pages list.

    I use cloakreferer.com. You can use it to just shorten the link or you can, er, cloak the referer.
