I have been using Linkpushing for a few month now and it seems that everyone is agreed that this should not be the only service you use on your site.

So my quesation is what other services are you using alongside LP.

I would like to find an all-in-one solution that I can run alongside LP to give me some diversity, Ideally a set and forget service would be the most appealing.

Maybe some monthly link building solution that I can tie in with LP.

    Currently Im doing the following.

    5 Linkpushes
    Build My Rank
4000 Dripable Service - pointed to LP & BMR properties
    25k Link package from chiky_cin
Backlink Booster - Boosting all links from the above

This has so far managed to push my site onto page two but I think I am missing something.

    Any suggestions

page two usually dont get any traffic.

Try to get wiki links as well as more private blog networks (not just BMR)

I'd suggest some manual commenting on some high PR blog pages with low OBL. And some .edu links too...

If you have Scrapebox you can find them on your own. You can mass page rank check any blog list and then do manual commenting on the 5 with highest PR. Apart from that there are only paid services i think...

Do some social bookmarking to your money site. Crorkservice @ fiverr is good imo. Gives around 800 bookmarks for 5 bucks.

Why not try backlinksgenie? I combine Linkpushing with a 3 day magic carpet backlinks genie project. This gives me forum profiles, private blog links, social bookmarks, and more!

I am assuming you have a aged site and with good content then the things you are currently doing will bring you results in some time.

In addition to the stuff you mentioned, try to do some .edu, wiki packages and keep doing linkbuilding to your Tier 1 links.

Personally, I have used BMR and Dripable but they don't seem to have any effect on my rankings but it doesn't mean these services don't work but may be there are not for me!

Yeah its 4 years old and has a few hundreds pages of unique content, its an ecomm site. Problem with BMR is the amount of time you need to spend or money sourcing the content, 10 post a day at $1 a pop soon adds up.

Yeah I do have SB but never quite got the hang of using it, I will give it another go.

I also used BMR for an ecomm site but soon left them as it was getting expensive and more importantly they were putting my 'fashion' articles on a 'java' website under 'fashions' category which I didn't like !

Duplicate content is one of the big issues with ecomm sites so make sure you are using proper 'canonical' tagging otherwise Google will be ranking different URLs against the same keyword !

I would highly recommend you go for PressReleases as they are good for authority and quality links and can also bring direct traffic to your website. Check out prweb.com and onlineprnews.com. Also, you can use some PR submissions here on BHW.

Yes it is, I have only just realised there was a domain issue with non www, so i have setup a 301 redirect today, any idea how long for this to take affect?

with regards to the 'canonical' tag can you explain a little more what i should be doing, as in how do I specify which page should be served for which keyword using the canonical tag

301 can take 2-4 days to show its effect.

Canonical tag should be used for the product page without any filteration. For example, if you have a shoe which comes in black, brown colors then that means you will have 3 pages for this product.

So, to remove this issue, put a canonical tag to the first product page.

If you also want to rank for black or brown shoes then you should not use canonical tag rather make dynamiic changes to your content based on the parameters being passed.

See these links to understand it better:

I would still prefer unique content for each product over canonical as it increases the authority of your site and google can associate more keywords with it.

Also, GWT is your friend here to handle your ecomm site. Have a look into your 'parameters' section there and also the new 'seo optimization' link in the new version of Google Analytics.

By combining GWT, GA you will have a pretty good idea where you site is currently standing.

Your categorization is also very important. Read about 'Silo' and how it is beneficial for SEO.

I was fortunate to work on a site with 5-6 years of age with 1000 of products and 100,000 pages indexed in G and over 28k backlinks, so I got a head start but still it was a tough task to rank for super competitive keywords and it took a while to get them on first page but because of that, the client's revenue has almost gone twice Year-on-Year dispute fallling consumer's purchasing power.
