Hi Guyus,

can anyone recommend the best SEO friendly wordpress template? i was reading earlier ones that don't use tables are slighly better (code to text ratio)

Thesis is probably the most used and a great starting point for any site.

Also consider flexsqueeze from hxxp://wxx.flexibilitythemedotc0m/ or titanium from hxxp://titanium.ithemesdotc0m/ - those two pass W3C's validator 100%

IMHO Thesis is rubbish, although you can fix it with a lot of hacking. Way back when it was v1.2 it was decent, but has slid downwards since.

What sort of site do you need a template for?

I have friends who use the semiologic templates and for whatever reason, they seem to index their new sites mega quickly
Unfortunately I can never get the templates to work whenever I try installing them on Wordpress!

I have eczema, weight loss sites, i really just wanted something SEO friendly which take a few minutes to setup that would be brill

i take it theres no application that automates this kinda thing? i could code something up where you put the URL to your wordpress login page and click a button and it uploads and installs the usual seo plugins etc and uploads a template, saying that it only takes a few minutes manually for alot of guys eh?
