What do you guys recommend for learning SEO?

I have bought Traffic Secrets and subscribe to The Net Effect(stompernet mag)

Any suggestions welcome.

I am sure the answer is in here somewhere, this site is so vast.
It is a great resource but somewhat overwheliming

Well my suggestion is also read the seo*book. or just read the basic seo of seo*moz, and surely you will have an idea on what seo really is. I have learned along the way that there are no intermediate and advance seo, basic seo is what you really need and with that knowledge you can go a long way, for i have found out while reading some paid courses in seo is that they only give a little twist on the basic and that's it.

Read up on Michael Martinez' blog on seo-theory.com, i consider his articles to be prime

Spend about two weeks here and you'll find more tips and things to read that you can imagine... no ONE 'course' could match the resources here as they are fluid... (not stagnate). Amazing & thanks to all.

If you want free resources, you should follow the above replies.
If you have money, join Lynda tutorials, They have good video courses on SEO and SEM.

If you are a true beginner http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182915

Best SEO course would be Google! If you have any questions that you cannot find on Google about SEO, which is VERY rare, then ask questions on Sitepoint or Digitalpoint, even though some of these responses may vary.

I think the best resource for a SEO newbie is Lynda.
You will find 2 tutorials on internet searching and search engine optimization.
I dont know what the exact cost is, try monthly package if you have enough money to afford- its like 300$.

You should also check out Bruce Clay's course at

Code:
http://www.seotoolset.com

It ain't cheap, but is regarded as one of the best

SEO Mindset as suggested before is a real good started.
Could also try Stompernet 2 vids. It is on the forum

WF or just do your own research on google. And try not to buy anything becasue you will learn more doing your own research.

Start from Lynda and develop your interest. Be inquisitive and research what ever you feel confusing. You'll be able to learn better.

I made my start with research, defining SEO and its part.Every part or way has their function and advantage to be used in marketing.Things follow as i read and get more details from the web.

BHW provides all the latest techniques you will never find any where, best place to learn!!

yes ,BHW is the place to learn not only SEO but other topics as well.Just search here and there and you'll find what you need. I'm glad I found this forum.
