I'm currently in the path of marketing Instagram, Twitter, Soundcloud, and Youtube for music purposes of gaining a large following/engagement.

I've heard that reddit is a good start, but it seems a bit difficult to get much attention without shoving it in everyones faces.

I also bought a few thousand Youtube views and some custom youtube comments and likes, but I do not want to rely on that and want it to become more and more organic (70-80% real/20-30% bought).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks you.

I see many rappers in NYC rapping and selling CDs for 5$. I always stop to listen and if I like, I usually buy the cd for support.
Not much help but best of luck with everything man!

I'm in search of the same thing so I'm going to keep a watch on this thread. I have a hint as to what to do but I want to see before I attempt to pull the trigger on my idea. Being in the music niche of things I know you have to use a Keyword that has I high search volume but normally those keywords are every competitive. To me in out to beat them out you have to have a high number of HR Views and as other people say a clickbait thumbnail (I've seen people with wack thumbnail and still ranked #1. So I can't believe in the thumbnail crap.).

For rappers I believe it's more about the level itself than marketing! if you are skilled (Good punchlines & Flow, ect) you can share your songs on Facebook group or do some Facebook ads and you'll get a good engagement.. but if the music is trash then you better focus on improving your skills.

The music itself is good (reached out to non-biased groups for their opinions and they all favored it significantly), the issue is getting it out there. Fake views don't seem to generate much flow other than having fake accounts look at it if it makes sense.

I see you are trying to rank your video on YT using fake views? for artistic careers it doesn't work that way since your unique artistic name is your main keyword. In order to promote your videos I suggest you to try Facebook groups / Facebook ads. I used to blow up rappers easily (Had 1 million fan page tho). Of course this is much harder if you are from the US.

    1. Make a 1 minute clip with some damn good stuff. (Rap on an issue/controversy).

    2. Add a watermark of your handle.

    3. Contact Instagram accounts to get a repost.

Contact smaller accounts first, they're more likely to read DMs. Eventually other pages will repost the content.

Once the video gains traction, there's no looking back.

Add something good in your bio with a link to your YouTube video.

Websites, social media platforms, professional logos, trademarks, etc., have all been created professionally and are made to seem like an authentic high-relevance artist, so I'm assuming promotion/buying "real" views/followers as suggested on SMM section is the best method. Why is the method so much harder in the US if I may ask?

Thanks for the advice! Are Instagram/Twitter reposts a better option to buy compared to "Real" high retention geolocated views?

Man we buy HR views from SMM panels to rank for a specific keyword (Like: Fortnite Hack)..in your case your keyword is your alias with zero competition so you are already #1 without doing any SEO so relying on YT to drive traffic for a new name in the music industry is a bad choice (unless it's a cover) . It's much harder in the US because the competition is huge. I used to have something like TMZ in my country and used to receive like 100 private messages daily (Most of them were trash songs from wack rappers) with that being said you still can get noticed by a big fan page and you may go viral if they like your music! All famous rappers have been unknown one day.

Briefly the fastest proven way to blow up as a rapper is getting the attention of a big fan page, alternatives would be: Facebook groups & Facebook Ads.

    Good luck OP.

I'm assuming you'll trend for a bit but have no real audience after? I'm wondering myself.

I'm going to go towards the route of buying shoutouts from IG/FB/Insta/Twitter from now on, with the occasional view buys and comment buys on soundcloud and youtube. Hopefully that works well and distills some of the bought views.

A LOT of mediocre rappers get huge followings of 500k+ on Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. I really don't think talent has as much to do with it. My assumption is lots of these guys are using resources from record companies who have marketing teams on staff, but I could be making that up.

I'm thinking that a little boost from the sim panels mixed with ad promotion might just work well.

Did you reply with a promotion of your own channel or just a random witty comment?

Hey guys I have been working with music labels for all Social media platforms for a wee while and see this as a good opportunity to add value and give back to BHW.

All the info you need to succeed is on this forum and the succeed as a artist you need to utilize time and money effectively.

Most signed artists have huge budgets and use ads and influencers to make it impossible not to go viral.

Until you get to that level I recommend posting as much content as possible on 2 Social media platforms and spending money on growth tactics and influencer marketing until you get enough buzz to get signed and start cross promoting into all Social media platforms.

I feel there is so much in this niche and would love to help anyone I can. Dm me or just posts your question here.

    Hope that helped
