$$Best ranking lens ? Not sure if this will work But It is so far.$$

Just as an experiment yesterdat I created an afilaite page for blogging to the bank on squidoo .

I threw some bulk traffic at it set it for 100 a day(using my network)( did not want to spend too much on this test .)

Well in one day I have noticed just now checked the stats and it apears to be doing pretty good not at the top 100 yet for work at home but I am sure it will get there.

Right now it is ranked 536 in Work at home . Still loads more of traffic to come . Now not sure but wouldn't that be highly profitable if it gets to number one in squidoo? Would it stay there on it's own accord for a little while before starting to slide down?

I just came up with this yesterday . Just kinda pulled it outta my head . I am sure there are other ways to make this profitable . I mean it is squidoo after all .

My next experiment will be on hubpages . I somehow figure that hubpages is going to be harder to make profitable . But squidoo on the other hand has loads of ways to make it profitable .

Here is Soemthing else I was thinking of doing . Having a mini review squidoo of click bank work at home products . Drive traffic to it using my pop-unders till it achieves number one . I should be bound to get some sells .

I really think this is my most briliant plan yet . But still i have alot of testing to do with it . Just thought I would share If anyone has actually tried this method please give me your experinces .

Ohh before someone calls me a noob you are absolutely right I know nothing of squidoo this is just something I thought of doing when I started looking into squidoo and so far it looks like this is working .

Ohhh might have but this in the wrong place . Yeah I am now starting to get clickouts on my hop-link . Which means that this is going to work . Might have to throw a little bit more traffic at it than I anticpated . I am going to let 100 visitors a day ride for about 1 week than increase it to 200 a day to kinda of mimic natural growth .

There is plenty of potential to this method . Hubpages is a great one though I have not tried it yet . I also do not believe fake hits will work though I have not tried that yet either . This I believe will work on any type of 2.0 website that is simlar to squidoo or hubpages . As it is real traffic and that realy traffic is waht gets you ranked in the top pages of there websites .

Please do not use this VERBATIM as if you do it will become increaseingly harder to actually get this method to work without spending gobs of money .

Another thing I noticed is what I am promoting is kind of a buz market right now . It is being searched for in the search engines . As being thous it apears that it was shared here at BHW right after me starting to promote it . So I am thinking this . Promote what is being discussed here and what people here want shared . As we are largely consumers ourselves .

Interesting I was ranked right around the top 100 for a lense in the business category, with very little traffic. It seems from my little experience with squidoo that you get ranked higher for more and quality content in your lense. I'm definitely going to look into what helps rankings with squidoo.

Just be careful how many links you put on Hub pages as they banned a couple of my hubs do to over linking. just a bit of fyi.

Update My lens is now ranked number 170 in work at home

how much traffic you get from ur lenz ?

from my past testing in lens's i can only give you guys 5 words
" tags tags and more tags"

look up high ranking lens's in your niche copy there tags to your lens and see what happens...

I used that tags trick on a couple of my lenses back in September but I coudln't get it to work properly.

I kept trying to copy every tag from the top performing lens in my niche and it just wouldn't save them properly.

Is there some limit to how many tags you can post on your lens or something?

It worked well for me on Hubpages but not on Squidoo.

On squidoo, I believe you are limited to five tags per post. I usually only use three, so I have never tested the limits, but it seems I read that on their site.

Sounds like a good idea. (for a DP ebook). lol Personally, I browse on DP but have never posted on it. Well, I might have once. I think I called out a guy for doing just what you don't want done with your idea. He packaged it up as an ebook and had it on DP a few hours after the idea was posted here. It was pulled though.

Anyway, I really do like your idea. Keep us up to date on how everything progresses.

Yes, don't take it over forty. I heard it somewhere and been trying to respect it. So far so good. I have a few lenses on the first 400 overall and 2 in the top ten for their pretty populated categories.

I haven't analized this deeply yet, but in my experience, these things seem to help you rank well in Squidoo:

1- There should be some original written content - more than for Hubpages, in my opinion -. I put at least an intro and a couple more write modules properly optimized. And then a couple of modules more.

2- Content should be renewed frequently. Install RSS modules. Use RSS for your YT videos and kill two birds with one stone. Or just go everyday and change a comma.

3- Tags, as I said. I keep them at 40. And for the love of Christ, study your stats - particularly at the begining - and change them accordingly.

4- Comment, sign guest books or anything that leaves links to you from top related lenses.

5- Include your lens in Squidoo groups

6- If you have the time and/or predisposition to do so ( I don't), be active in the community.

7- Traffic. Almost forgot. I just went from around 30.000 overall to around 300 with one of my lenses just because I unexpectedly caught a traffic wave.

I repeat: I don't pretend to be any kind of expert at this. This is just what's been working for me for the last year with good results.

Wow very good ideas . Now so far I have not made any money . I have had some click outs . I am not sure if it is from my traffic or squidoo traffic that gave me the clickouts . But so far no dough .

When stats update I am hoping to be in the top 100 . As of right now still I am in 170 in work at home and top 25k lens overall .

Using my bulk traffic I think i see a way to dominate squidoo .

But How profitable could this be ? Where could the money come from ? How much squidoo traffic does the top lens usually get ?

I have jumped a huge amount of places to be just over 4000 ( from 25000) in the overall lenses since having others rate me 5*. This happened in a matter of days.

Well just rated myself 25 times using multiple acounts . Estimated time that took is 10 minutes .

During the following 1 hour I generated aproximately 80 views .I honestly bet they are making a killing in adsense .

Ok it just updated I am still at number 170 in Work at home for some odd reason . However my overall has jumped incredibly to 3226 overall . That is one heck of a jump .

Ohh the work at home just updated I am number 31 !!!!!!!!!!!! OMG this is incredible!!!

This is my best lense (only one i really work on kinda)

use http://squidutils.com to ping your lense once its updated and it also has some other cool tools there too that can be usefull... also somewere there is a tool to see what your competition is doing and were their links are....

I only have like 30 hits in the last 7 days and none from the search engines as i havent promoted it big.... few links posted on other lenses and joined every group relating to my lense to get a bit of traffic.... and get a few hits from people searching squidoo too....

it seems like this having traffic works but still want to wait and see how much targetted traffic squidoo produces itself

oh and a lil blackhat tip -> deselect the 'maxed' option for your lense and select the discovery tool to on (make sure to add your lense url's here if they are related [dont know if this effects it yet]).... what this does is mean that on your lense you link to no other lenses so loose no traffic but yet your lense appears on other peoples so gives you more traffic (someone from the squidoo chat told me this and seems to work)....
