There are various reasons why he'd need a proxy for that.
Lets think about a few: he uses multiple accounts on youtube, he posts an illegal video, he posts a copyright protected video+watermarking, ...

Rogue socks proxies are "better" than rogue HTTP proxies, because of their universal usage and because they are more secure. (a rogue http proxy can suddenly switch to non-anonymious). I say rogue because all of those proxy lists you find contain 99% illegal proxies ;)

If you upload illegal or copyright content you should not use a proxy you can not completely trust to be anonymous, without loopholes + without logging or other local sniffing.
I'm running a fresh project called Cloakfish, it offers very high anonymity for SEO purposes and "other stuff".

You sound like a newbie to proxies, I suggest you read my thread in any case. It will help you to understand the differences of most proxy types on the Internet.

If you need help using Cloakfish, gimme a PM or email or just ask in that thread, but it's well documentet in the Howto and Screenshot sections.

    Hope that helped ;)

I have tried many proxy services and many proxy softwares to upload videos to youtube. In many cases the uploading never finishes or its too slow. You must use private proxy if you want your work done fast. I think packetflip.com provides good private proxy service. Although I have not tried them but I have read reviews about it on this forum.

Can anyone confirm on packetflip.com's private proxy service ?

Do you really use proxies for uploading non-original videos to Youtube? I am sure most of the people doing it don't and I didn't here about them getting into trouble.
On the other hand using a proxy, or at least using a free one, easily might leave your acount password in third hands.
Apart from that is it enough to disconnect and connect again in order to get a new IP if I want to change account?
