Learn the language of the internet - HTML CSS Javascript. This will take you a long way. You will be able to handle most basic jobs involving the net like webpage design, and functionality.
Learn a scripting language - best one in my opinion is Python. Python is great for basic local tasks - things you need to automate and get done locally on your computer.
