I have i niche website with unique and truly helpful content.

Now I want to promote the website on relevant forums and create profiles to help SEO.

I plan to outsource the task of creating the profiles but I want to do a little research to make sure that I get a high success rate and that the links will stick.

    Here's my questions:

    1. Will I benefit from all profile links or should I only focus on lets say only forums from PR3 sites and above?

    2. How many profiles should be created per day? (The links will point directly to my own site)

    3. There is 3000 - 5000 relevant forums for me to post in. Will it hurt my site to create that my profile links?

    3. I've heard that using the same username for all profiles will make google ignore the links. Is this true? Should I strive for unique usernames?

    4. I believe that some forums try to block spam by blocking Gmail and other easily obtainable email accounts. What is a good email to use?

    5. Is it good practice to make a post after profile creation to avoid deletion do to inactivity?

    6. What is a fair price to pay per profile when outsourcing the job?

    7. Any thing else I should be aware of?

    8. How effective is this technique considered to be? (remember these are very relevant forums)

Thanks. I really hope to get clarification.

These are very tough questions to answer. There will definitely be people who can answer these but I guess they are too busy making the big bucks. :)

    >1. Will I benefit from all profile links or should I only focus on lets say only forums from PR3 sites and above?

A link is a link.. but you have to look into this from the other side. Given that a high PR link is worth much more than a PR 0 link.. where do you want to spend your time?

    >2. How many profiles should be created per day? (The links will point directly to my own site)
Don't know.. and I have not seen anyone that could give a clue on this.

    >3. There is 3000 - 5000 relevant forums for me to post in. Will it hurt my site to create that my profile links?

Again, if done slowly no harm will be done. do the 5000 is a day, and your are asking goolgle to look at you.

    >3. I've heard that using the same username for all profiles will make google ignore the links. Is this true? Should I strive for unique usernames?

Do you mean that you want to link allways with the same keywords?
Use the search function in to forum and look for angelas links.. there is post that shows you how to find her links on the web.. you will have a beeter idea on how they are seen by google.

    >4. I believe that some forums try to block spam by blocking Gmail and other easily obtainable email accounts. What is a good email to use?

    what about your own domain?

    >5. Is it good practice to make a post after profile creation to avoid deletion do to inactivity?

controversial question. some people will say do not post because it will bring you attention from the admins. But is your profile looks real, and the post is good, then you may have much more traffic from it.

    6. What is a fair price to pay per profile when outsourcing the job?

Don't know.. I would pay by the hour.

    >7. Any thing else I should be aware of?

    >8. How effective is this technique considered to be? (remember these are very relevant forums)

Just another tool on your toolbox. Do it consistently, but do not bet all your efforts on this kind of link.

Yeah for a new site I would start small posting on a couple forums then each day make it progressively more. This may also give you time to add other niches to ur list. As you get more into your progression you may even have to give each niche a certain day which will force you to mix it up which could be a good thing.

Profile links require 2 things in order to be effective:

    1) Indexing measures. The profile pages are often hard for the spider to find on its own.

    2) Internal PR manipulation. Leave comments on the highest PR pages, they will automatically link through your name to your profile page. This diverts PR to your profile page, helping it to get indexed. Also, the higher the PR of your profile page, the more powerful your link will be.

Let's be honest - a PR n/a profile link is not going to help you much on its own. If you beef it up and get it indexed using the method I described above, then you have yourself a good backlink.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback. I will go ahead and outsource the job as soon as I have the list ready.

My site is 1½ year old and already have 2300 backlinks. I guess it be safe to for something like 30 - 50 profiles per day.

When it comes to getting the links indexed, is a good idea to do some social bookmarking and to gather the links in a rss feed and submitting it?

Oh, search for high pr threads and try to reply a relevant post there, then you could add your site in your sig too or to your profile link. This will give more link juice to your profile link
