Hello all, I currently live in the States. I've had a doctor of mine who I spoke with who told me that VistaPrint makes the best business cards. Before I go and order a few for my offline business, I'd like to get some opinions from fellow BH members. Where's the best place to get your own business cards?

Best place to get your cards is probably your local print/design store.
I dont trust online thingy when it comes to something that i need to feel it and see it before i give it out to ppl.

    Just my 2 cents

Cheap cards --- online stores like Vista, busyprint, etc.

IF you need a custom card....go to a local printer.

I have used VistaPrint and they delivered as promised. They offered 250 cards for free ... Just had to pay for the shipping ...

Thank you for your responses! I needed some quick cards that I can just give away so I just went with VistaPrint, the quality and designs might not be all that but I just needed something fast. Remember not to spend so much time analyzing and just begin taking action! I've lost a few opportunities due to the fact that I didn't have business cards in hand! Don't make the same mistake.

Vistaprint cards are truly awful and will reflect badly on anyone using them.

Fine as a stopgap measure but nothing else.

If you are stuck for something quick to handout vista are ok. But quality wise you would be better off writing your phone number on the back of a cut up cornflakes box.

I don't want to go all American psycho but business cards are like good shoes, when you are handed a good card you can feel it straight away.

American Psycho is totally what I think of when I think of business cards. I totally understand what you're getting at though, in the future I'll most likely get something better. But for right now any card would be great, instead of writing down my information for people with my horrid handwriting! Also where do you get your business cards from?

I use vistaprint which are pretty decent thus far. You can pay more for higher quality cards if you don't like the quality of the free/$10 premium cards

No doctor should be using VistaPrint for his cards. Anyway, if you need a cheap fix, then yeah VistaPrint works, but you shouldn't cheap out anyway because that can affect your brand from the start - may as well do it right the first time.

In the future, feel free to contact us for cards. Our thickest standard paper (16pt, aside from specialty 22pt/24pt paper) starts at just $19.99 double-sided/full color, so it's a fairly low investment for some high quality cards.

The problem with all vista print products that I have seen is that "vistaprint.com" on the back of all printed products. That looks unprofessional and I am not giving them free advertising.

I use staples and it cost me like $32 for 500 cards and they look sharp and card stock is sturdy.

Vistaprint will hook you up, they're the only ones I've used but still very satisfied with them.
Oh, be careful, they will upsell the shit out of you lol.

uggghh, I dislike vistaprint... My cards came out crappy and I got the top of the line everything.. Spent like 160 on 500 biz cards. I then complained and they gave me an 80$ credit which I have yet to use because I dislike them that much.

Don't listen to those whining about vistaprint, if you need your basic cards that's not going to WOW your customers to buy your product over your card get from vistaprint. I use vistaprint.. and I have the basics for them and I've received complements on my 'nice' cards.

    http://www.vistaprint.com/savebig

Pretty sure this is either 25% or 50% off with this link.

500 cards $20 you cant go wrong, unless you want your cards to be top of the line wowing your customers. To me I never buy products because I have a nice card, a card has a name, a phone number, and a website that's all I need.

Vista print only puts their url on the back if you get their 250 free business cards, if you pay there is no advertising.

I guess it depends upon your business.

All business cards I've seen from VP look cheap.

There are plenty of places to buy cards online at a reasonable cost.

I go for quality stock and have them laminated. I design them myself and upload the artwork to the printer.

If you head over to Graphic River there are many quality templates you can purchase. The ones on VP are incredibly naff and look as if they have been designed by 10 year olds.

Business cards DO MATTER to your brand. They are a reflection of you and your company and if you use poor cards it will damage you (but you will never know as people WON'T tell you).

Do NOT go cheap on your business cards.

You are giving your business cards to business owners. Do you know how much solicitation they receive everyday? If yours doesn't stand out, it will be tossed with all the others. When people hand me a high quality business card, I notice and can feel it's quality. I even shoot them a compliment.

Now, I've bought from VistaPrint before and the cheap stock they use has a really crappy texture and the edges are fuzzy. Go to your local printer. Also see Moo.com

You can spend up to $100 for 500 cards, but I can guarantee you it will show that you are quality instead of a cheap ass who paid $5.95 for their cards.
