Yes & No. Writers are paid via their classification of abilities. They have a star rating 2=legible, 3 is good,4 is excellent,5 is pro. Ranking can go up or down depending on the quality of work. Most writers are rated 3 or 4 when they sign up. A person with a ranking of 5 has access to all levels and a 4 has access to 4,3, and 2 and so forth. When someone pays to have an article written they choose what level they want the article to be. The higher the classification the higher the fees. There is also an option to put in a direct order from your favorite writer. Authors choose their own fees for direct orders. The upside for clients would be that you may have paid for a level 2 classification but a level 5 writer did the job. The downside is for the authors who are higher ranking only getting paid as a level 2. We do have the option to cherry pick what interests us and are not assigned anything so if someone takes the order they are fully aware of the pay scale.
For the most part, articles we write are SEO content work. There are a lot of orders from offshore clients who do not speak English very well and will not elaborate on what exactly they want the article to be about or ask for keywords to be added a certain number of times while the keywords do not make sense when written in any context.
