I lost contact with a couple domainers that used to treat me well with expired domain purchases.

Any recommendations on where to pick up expired domains without being annoyed by fake pr all the time?

    Thanks

I have used domain face that was part of MS. In MS you can run a search and it looks in godaddy and namejet it will tell you what the real pr is and if it has a fake pr. I have only used it a few times.

You can also pick some up on flippa as well.

registercompass is also another one that people like to use.

Download godaddy?s complete A to Z list, you have to be an auction member for this though.

Set the ending in to 1 day, and download each letter of the alphabet. You?ll usually end up with about 300,000 domains.

Now duplicate those 300,000 to have the www dot Version as well.

Now you can save all of those 600,000 domains to notepad, and upload it to scrapebox

Once you have scraped the PR of all of the domains, delete any with PR2 or under.

Now use the scrapebox fake pagerank checker and remove the fake domains from your list. You?ll more than likely have 1000 or so domains in your list now.

Now use the scrapebox backlink checker and eliminate any domains with 20 links or under. You should have 100 or so high PR domains that you can check manually.

This is a solid method, however the trick is to keep the PR after Google sees that the site has changed hands...

    teeniegenie,

I have yet to have any of my domains lose page rank. Have you had a bad experience, because there is no trick to buying domains apart from making it private which is just common sense IMO.

Have you been buying domains with fake pagerank or something?

A really simple test is to make an autoblog and see if your pages get indexed without you having to build links, and if it does you know the blog has pagerank. My posts generally get indexed within 24 hours.

We bought a domain name a couple years ago that was a PR 2, but we slacked off and didn't put anything up on the domain for 1-2 months. Not sure if that was the case, but next PR update the site was back to a 0. But then once we got a site on there it went back up to PR 2 on the next update.

I have a GoDaddy auction account. Where can you download the A to Z listing? I can't seem to find it.
