I am on blog 12, and I have just been doing some fancy text for my blog headers. I would really like to have a nice image instead with maybe the site name added. Any ideas on a free place to get these?

or should I just use the text?

    What are you guys doing?

    Thanks

    Hey there,

I've been using xheader, its free desktop software that makes headers. Its really fun to use.Check this link: http://xheader.com/

I'm not affiliated with this. I think the makers of xsite pro, make the software.

    Anyway,

    I hope this helps.

search on google image search for *your niche* graphics, *your niche* header, *your niche* banner etc. Then change the wording using macromedia fireworks, paintshop, or even just plain old MS paint.

I like this xheader app. I tried to register to download the additional 500 headers, but the email form seems to not be working or at least it won't send an email to me. Does anyone have these they can upload somewhere?

Yes makingfastcash22, you can try Xheader and it's free to download.
One thing i most like is easy to use and could bleed easily in the background of your header with png image format.

I photoshop all my headers. I just find a theme that has nice colors, then I re-do everything. Thats why it's day 4 for me, and I'm just finished with Autoblog #4. lol.

Thx much - I had filled out the contact form to get those freebies, but never received the promised link.

You wouldn't happen to have the 5K xheader pro package too, would you?

I have been using the basic paint program and do a google search for my niche and grab pics that are relevant and add them together.

Turns out its contained in the XHeader Pro version of the software (which I've just found and am in the process of downloading now. BUT, it seems that you need a registration key to use the Pro version though :(. So it may not be as straight-forward as adding the 500 pictures was... cracking's probably involved.

    Anyway, here's the page:

I've tried busting the protection on the 5K to no avail. But I'm no expert at this stuff. I would love to get my hands on it.

I've also not managed to get around the protection mechanism . I guess we're going to have to wait for someone with more expertise in the area (and interest in the program) to come along and offer up a solution. It sucks having the files themselves yet not being able to put them to use really.

Damn...I had just found the S3bucket for this app in another post, downloaded the appropriate files and thought it'd be a straightforward install...then to my surprise, I got the 'insert registration #' message... :)

So, yeah...if someone could find a way to null this, I'm sure a lot of us 'non-techies' who can't use Adobe or other similar apps can at least make some decent headers... :D
