That's because it's a help forum. 8.04 is probably one of, if not the best release to date. The problem is that a few things changed, and people dont like change so they complain about it. It happens with everything

I know what o/sÅ› are out there i just wanted opinions and go tthem.

I used ubuntu about 6 months ago and i did like it but was into gaming back then so i hated not being able to play some of my favourites. Now im over games and just business,apss music etc Im very very happy with Ubuntu, especially the upgrade is superb!!

Vista sucks. You would have to go back to Windows 95 to find an operating system that was as unstable as Vista. Personally I liked NT4 best of the Window family, and it's been all downhill from there. I might buy a Mac, but I don't want to give up the right hand mouse button. Linux is a great server operating system and development environment but there are too many Windows applications that don't have a decent Linux version, so I won't use it on the desktop.

partition your disk and run linux from a 30GB slot.
keep windows on the rest of the drive... that's what
most people do...
