besides that one :) this isn't for me this is for a post I'm making on one of my sites where I'm explaining how to do it. Trying to find a good one to suggest to newbies to make sure they are doing it right.

If you want desktop apps, then WebSite Auditor from SEO PowerSuite (PC & MAC) and IBP (PC) come to mind.

So far, I've gotten the best results from WordPress SEO by Yoast. Of course, you kinda need your site to run on WP for that...

On Page optimization alone wont bring results, its just a part of seo promotion.

always do off page optimization effectively.

yes I know SEO I know how to do it On and Off page. I'm simply asking for a tool here not how to do SEO. The tool isn't for my benefit it's for newbies, I'm trying to figure out the best tool to use that isn't a wordpress plugin. Thank you anyway

I'd vote for IBP too. And it's available for free in the downloads section. On a simpler level, you could try opensiteexplorer.com of seomoz. Pretty sweet tool.

I would go with Woorank com that gives an effective analysis of various on page optimization that need to be fixed for your sites. The thing I like most is that it gives and solutions to the onpage Seo problems that it finds. Cheers

I would definitely go with the SEOmoz checker as the guy above said. It gives you a nice detailed report, and tells you how important each factor is. It also tells you how you can fix them.

    Good luck
