    Hello..!! :)

I want to start autobloging and I was wondering what is the best type of niche for autoblogs. If I use some micro niches it will be difficult to find good rss to feed my blogs but I can rank easily for that. If I use popular niches I will find rss easily but it will be difficult to rank. I think that the best is something in the middle but I really don't know how to find that "something in the middle". I use the G**gle keyword tool to search for keywords but I am not familiar with it. What is the best Approx Avg Search Volume, Estimated Avg. CPC and competition in g**gle for an autoblog? Do you guys know any other tool that can help my? (market samurai??) I was thinking to go for some entertainment/fun niches that I read in ernesthemingway post but I am really skeptical because I will never rank for those competitive niches....
    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot :)

    Hi otto14,

I think it might depend on your autoblog "business model".

Depending on whether you want folks to click contextual ads or buy an ebay product or some other affiliate product/service, some niches might work better than others, and yep, I agree that some testing would be useful, for sure :) .

I'd imagine that the basic research would be no different from researchiing other niches ;) although going for the long tail keywords might be easier.

There are 3 or 4 threads on autoblogging with just about the whole method laid out in a step by step and a few folks are actually creating autoblogs as a service, so you might wanna check those out too?

    Best Wishes :)

    Cheerio :)

If I found the best niche and it works for me I don think I'll share it in a thread like this.
I'll share it when I feel it's not that good anymore or I found the other better niche.

I guess this is what normal people would think.

Autoblogs can only take you so far....how you promote it will make the difference. That being said I think you need to answer a few questions.

What is the main purpose for the blog?
What niche makes sense for that purpose?
How will the blog be promoted?
Can you find content for that niche?

I'm sure there are other questions but I'm tired and cant think at the moment.

Here are some of the plugins I use

To help you out, go download the adsenzeheaven list that was uploaded either yesterday or today. It has eight thousand top paying keywords in it. Pick some out and then research it with some free tools. It should get you going in the right direction.

Best autoblog niches for me are. gadgets, funny pictures, technology, odd news stories, regular news, political debate, and of course Celebrity gossip.
Do all of them, and run with the ones that takes off... Take action and don't put too much thought into it.

    Hope this helps, good luck

Thanks, you clear a lot of things in my mind :)

This is exactly what I need. I just downloaded the list. Now I have to find a high paying keyword with little competition, a lot of traffic and some content. Do you know any good tool that can save me time?

Great, at least you started on the task. The next thing I would do is search the niches you are interested in. Then go to g00gle keyword to find a similar keyword with as many searches per month as possible with the lowest competition. Low to average is a good starting point in my opinion.

Then go to g00gle and see how many competitors there are in that field. Use "whatever your keyword is" to find the direct competitors. If less than 30k, you found a good niche. Create a web site around it, then use all the tools available here to promote it.

I don't believe anything you have just posted. Are you saying he should not do any keyword research? Of course, he should. If he has a site about the 'golden goose', then at the mininum, he should see if anybody is searching for a 'golden goose'. If the search count is ten searches per day, obviously that niche is not worth the effort. It is too narrow.

Or if there are twenty milllion competitor sites targeting the keyword the 'golden goose', it once again would be a worthless proposition.

Even with a autoblog, narrow basic keyword research with a keyword rich domain name, followed with some basic SEO, web 2.0, and social bookmarking sites will bring your site some visitors.IMO

I don't think I step in the process should be skipped.
