    Hi

Any advice is appreciated. I have severe eye strain on my PC monitor - LG 24" IPS LED.

Any recommendations of monitors that are very easy on the eyes?

try a screen filter first before you buy a new setup.

There's also a few Apps which help, I have one on my home PC called flux (or something similar) which increases the amount of blue and the brightness depending on the time of day.

+1 for Flux. I've converted literally dozens of coworkers who come to my desk and say "why are your screens all yellow?"

    Sucks when watching Netflix though...

LED screens fuck the eyes up. Gotta use UV filter with LED screens.

The strain is caused by the blue light spectrum emitted from LCD screens. You can visit an optician and have them make you a pair of glasses with a blue light coating. If you don’t need corrective lenses, that’s fine. They will just give you clear glass with the blue light coating. It’s becoming a common request. Not all opticians carry these coatings, so shop around. Also get the anti-glare coating. This is to deal with the refraction of light caused by light hitting your glasses.

The best part is – it’s a clear coating. It’s not yellow. So you’re not forced to look at a yellow screen the way flux works.

If you’re looking for a cheap solution, or want to test whether what I’m saying is bullshit, buy a pair of these. You’ll have to deal with the orange tint, but you’ll notice less eye strain

UV filters won't help. I have them on my contacts an my glasses.
