    Hey all,

I'm in need of some local phone numbers w/voicemail around the US for an offline project of mine. I don't want it to be toll-free/1-800 but rather a local area code.

I'm located out of the country so I would have to access voicemail.

Can any of you recommend a service that I can use?

Magic Jack won't work because I need multiple numbers. The option I had come up with was to buy multiple SkypeIn numbers (you can buy up to 10), but they might not have all the area codes I need.

    Cheers,

Sounds like you might want to try google voice that recently has been accepting registrations frome everyone.. It has voice mail and lots of area-codes available. HTH.

If it is for small office use then some providers like: Grasshopper, RingCentral, FreedomVOICE, etc. offers a plan that includes lots of features plus a selection of either a toll free number or local area code number. This comes with multiple extensions as well. I think this is what you want right?

I use Google Voice. The only drawback is that you must have another phone number attached to it and they have to be different for each Google Voice phone number you have. Other than that, it works great for local numbers.

Use skype it lets you have as many as 10 US local numbers for $18 for 3 months. You can forward it to any number and there is voice mail option also. Another alternative would be Vumber.

Can you elaborate a little...without some details it's not very credible.

Yeah I contacted the dude about his Facebook accounts and asked if I could have a test of accounts.

I didn't like the quality and the accounts might have locked or something I can't remember I'd have to check out chat logs.

I was away from the computer for a day and he flipped out at me on AIM that I had left on swearing at me and telling me he would get me banned from BHW and put me in the **** list.

He also told me he can hack so I better watch out. When I returned to my computer there was no way I was paying him and giving him my person details even though we never agreed that I had to pay him for the test accounts.

He never put up any threads, just hit me with a neg iTrader and posted that in a lot of my threads.
