i am using this letter to send to businesses i want to target for seo and IM services. please suggest improvements and what else to include and take out.

    Dear [ ]

I sent you this letter, because I don?t cold call businesses.

I figure you?re swamped and one more call you didn?t ask for, won?t help.

I?m ____________., a local business person, right here in ___________.

I may have even been in your ________ at one time or even worked with some businesses near yours.

    Here?s the Bottom Line:

I can help fill the ?slow times? every __________ has. Experienced this yet?

I can help build a customer list, and contact them almost for free.

I also help __________ improve their online reputation. (reviews are important)

And I can add a website, remodel one that?s broke, or get you ranked on Google.

Cost? For many businesses, it adds no additional cost, but merely ?shifts?
from a lesser performing media to better ones.

If you?ve tried online, or if you haven?t, please accept my offer: A 30 minute meeting that reveals exactly how I?d use internet media to improve your sales.

Just contact me on my personal line*. If I?m with a client, I?ll call you back within 24 hours.

    One more thing. ?

When we meet, I promise you it will be nothing like talking with a Yellow Pages rep or anyone else. I?m actually interested in what you?re trying to do, sales wise.

And if my ideas don?t fit with you, I?m perfectly fine with that too.

    Regards,

consider personalising it, for example you may want to do a bit of research on these businesses and include some of what you found out and some specific ideas for them. or you could add some kind of statistics if its possible. personalising it is not necessary but will make them feel like you know what you are doing or get them excited about what they could have.

also hand write the address on the envelope so it looks more unique and personal and not like a mass spam letter they will at least open it and read it.

The Market has moved. If you are still punting SEO to local businesses you're leaving too much food on the table.
SEO is the last service I offer my prospects. They want customers NOW!
Give them that and they'll eat every breadcrumb you drop.

May I ask you what do you propose to them? Where I live local SEO is still a gold mine and I've looked into others possiblity like social media/you tube but the traffic is so low that would be useless.

Thats some good advice, but as a beginner who is just starting you have to be careful not to bite off more than you can chew. Until you feel comfortble
