So far I'm trying to figure out what factors to include in seeing which industries are the best to sell SEO services to. So far I got

-Makes good money and has expendable income
-Doesn't have a "gatekeeper" / secretary type person who answers calls first and responds to emails first

So what are the best industries? Plumbers? Locksmiths? Anyone have any success with a particular industry?

Hairdresser, carpenders, and other small local business' - I'm going to cold call a few shops here in my area, and see if they have a website. If yes, then i'll give them a offer on SEO, if not, then i'll give them a offer for SEO and a Website.

You should never, ever, "sell SEO".
You should only sell the outcome - a #1 ranking.

People don't fundamentally care about the process, they just want the results. So sell the results, and once they convert to a client, start educating them about the process.

Dude I know. I wouldn't call a client and say hey I want to sell my SEO services, I'm just referring to it that way to you guys

Local clients will do the trick. You can meet them physically, and it can be easier to rank. Instead of ranking for the keyword 'cheap haircuts', you can rank for the keyword 'cheap haircuts in small-village-like-town-in-a-random-place'.

It still astonishes me how many people that are trying to sell services based on searching, cannot use the search function on this website.

people who cater to low needs at high expense... they expect a low conversion rating since there's like only 0.002% of the population interested in that product and even less have the money to buy that product...

imagine, if you will, a company that makes deluxe yachts at 500.000.000$ a piece :)... how will you do SEO for them ?

I'm not entirely certain that someone buying a half-billion dollar yacht will do so on the basis of a Google search?

    1. a company making half a billion dollar yachts will most certainly have a website and a good advertisement budget...
    2. people are constantly searching for information on the internet but you might be right... billionaires might use some covert search engine because Google is for the poor people
