Trying odesk. All depend on how you write your job post and how you conduct interviews.

I have been using both Odesk and Freelancer and they are working pretty well for me.

You can also have a look at Fiverr to find reliable people.

I use vworker extensively for programmers, and had been using elance for translators. Recently though, I needed something done in Chinese, and hired a translator off vworker to do a complete 10 page website for a grand total of $38. I'd definitely go back to vworker if the type of writing I need is more technical in nature. Otherwise, you can throw a bone to the elance writing masses and watch them fight it out for the cheapest price.

I've hired workers from many different places and by far hiring from BHW was the best experience. I think it's because they value their memberships more and our members tend to be more sophisticated than just about anywhere on the net. We know the games and scams. I've even been burned by sub par work on forums that had escrow and freelancers with 100% rating. The warning at BHW is only hire from authorized service threads where u can see the persons rep. If u hire him because he sends u a pm in a thread that isn't his u're back in the danger zone. Always check the last 2 pages of comments is his thread that's authorized by the Mods. A good freelancer can turn bad or have problems.

Freelancer sucks imo. I've accepted 4-5 projects there, 0 got completed.

So yea, looking for new places. Tried vWorker but couldn't get verified for some odd reason... :/
