    OK I am having a slight problem with finding a good free webhost. I have money sites hosted on my own VPS but now would like to create a nice bunch of basic html based sites with links pointing to the money sites. The idea being I can get links from forums and blog comments pointing towards the free host sites and point all links from them towards the main site and perhaps interlink them a bit. Kind of like a link wheel I guess but a bit old school.

    Ideally I am looking for about five free web hosts with ftp uploading which has a very straight forward sign up procedure. Are there any that don't require Captchas? OCR is a pain in my .... Probably not I'm guessing.

    Anyway I asked for help so would like to give something back to the community. A while ago I was trying to get gmail to work with ruby in linux and came up with the following using stunnel. It is all in ruby. Does anyone else use linux/ruby by the way?

    # check gmail account and visit all links in emails. Run command below to setup ssl tunnel
    # sudo /usr/local/sbin/stunnel -c -d 42 -r pop.gmail.com:995

    require 'net/pop'
    require 'uri'
    require 'net/http'

    domain = 'mydomain.'
    pop = Net::pOP3.new('localhost', 42)
    pop.start('useraccount', 'password')
    if pop.mails.empty?
    puts 'No mail.'
    else
    pop.each_mail do |m|

    end

    I've used 000webhost for test websites, only one I can really recommend. They're completely free

    You can also find cheap hosting for $5-7 a year if you need even more websites.
