This might already be a topic here somewhere.. When I tried to look I came up with a ton of off-topics.. If it is would appreciate the link.

If not your input would be great..

I am wondering if anyone has an idea of what the best forum software is to use for SEO purposes?

I'm guessing it would be one that can run threads by name rather than just a topic number.

In my experience, vbulletin and phpbb seem to be in the top search results more often than the others do. I'm seeing more mybb results too, so that may be one to check out.

I have an smf 2.0 forum, and it absolutely sucks for ranking even with all original posts. If i can fairly easily convert it to a different platform, i will in a heartbeat.

Then again, maybe i'm just unlucky with forums.

I used VB once and it worked really well.
Look into WP message boards as well.

Do you run a forum yourself with vBulletin?

    Thanks for that information.

Vbulletin is the Best Board Software with tons of Plugins. To Make it more optimized you need VBSEO Plugin. You can download Vbulletin + VBSEO For free. Just Google it! ;)
