I've been looking around for the best email platform to use for managing and accessing large quantities of email addresses. I don't know very much about the topic, I'll be honest.

I'm using Thunderbird right now, and it works great if I have all gmail or hotmail or yahoo accounts, but as soon as I start interfacing with an exchange server, I start having issues.

I've heard of other people using email forwarding services, such that they can make multiple email addresses from different @blah.com and @dude.com all sent to a @gmail.com account or something like that.

Anyways, the reason I bring this up is I was looking for some feedback as to what everyone uses here, and ways that I can optimize my current setup. If you have any advice or tips/tricks I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

That's called domain masking, to save the parent domain from getting blacklisted or spammed. This addon is not integrated with all of the bulk email providers.
I can assist you in that matter, contact me over S-kype [live:shoaib.khokhar_1]
